IPG Photonics has released its YSL-CL line of cost effective fibre lasers, specifically designed for cladding, brazing and annealing applications.
The company states that a low-cost fibre laser is preferable to a fibre-delivered direct diode laser because it alows te user to achieve higher efficiency with plug and play fibre replacement and high reliability. The YLS-CL series are available at powers of two, three or four killowatts, with a choice of round or square fibre deliveries and various output fibre core sizes.
