Single photon counting specialist, Becker & Hickl (B&H) has launched a metabolic imaging tool, designed specifically for medical research applications.
The FLIM microscope is designed to help reduce uncertainties in research without loss of capability. It is equipped with Toptica’s latest turn-key femtosecond pulsed lasers for NADH and FAD excitation, as well as defined spectral filters in the detection to help ensure that experiments are repeatable.
The tool, which Julius Heitz, Application Specialist at B&H told Electro Optics is “the most precise in the market,” has detection filters that can be replaced with other plug-and-play filter units depending on the application.
Equipped with an opaque incubator, the system is laser-safe and also prepared for live-cell workhttps://www.electrooptics.com/life-sciences. It includes fully motorised sample movement for large area stitched imaging, 3D imaging and video rate FLIM-contrast recording for dynamic change monitoring, as well as environmental control, autofocus, remote user training.
