This year, for the first time, we asked respondents to answer some questions that would give us a snapshot of their R&D budget projections and spending intentions. 

The results made for interesting reading – as Warren Clark already pointed out in his introduction to this edition, this year’s cohort is collectively responsible for purchasing more than £40m worth of photonic equipment a year, so its collective opinion is definitely worth recording here.
