Plans for next year's Optatec, which will be the 10th, will focus on much more than laser technology, including fibre optics, photovoltaics, LED technology, safety technology and medical engineering.
The show differentiates itself from other events by this diversity of applications of optical technologies, and faith in the show has been repaid by exhibitor bookings already standing at 80 per cent of last year's event, with just under 12 months still to run until the exhibition starts.
Also next year, the EOS Symposium on Trends in Optical Technologies, ESTO 2010, will be held for the first time alongside Optatec in Frankfurt. Leading experts will report on the latest trends and up-to-date developments from the world of optical technologies.
