Edmund Optics, the provider of optical components, has appointed Agnes Huebscher as European marketing director.
Huebscher, former global marketing director with Schott Advanced Optics, has extensive experience in the marketing and sales of industrial optics and opto-electronic components. In her new position at EO, she will assume responsibility for all marketing in Europe, including tradeshows, advertising, customer mailings, email campaigns, and more.
'Agnes' strengths are many, all of which will be an enormous asset to Edmund Optics,' commented Marisa Edmund, executive vice president for marketing. 'Because of her previous global experience, she comes to us with an established understanding and keen sensibility of cultural interactions.'
Huebscher spent a decade at Schott, starting her career as a senior manager in public relations and marketing, working her way up to director of marketing. As director she managed a team of six and was responsible for the entire scope of international marketing and communications. During her tenure, she oversaw the launch of Schott AO's new website, introduced new concepts for print, and accompanied many product launches.
