Alltec, the German manufacturer of laser systems for marking and coding, has acquired Foba Technology and Services, an expert in precision lasers for marking and engraving. Foba will become part of the Alltec Laser Business Unit.
The acquisition will enable Alltec to extend its product range to include systems ready to integrate into production lines, through to workstations for standalone operation, and engraving machines.
Existing Foba customers will also benefit from the global sales and service network offered by Alltec's parent company, Danaher.
'To further our growth especially in the part and component marking sectors, Foba represents a vigorous and experienced partner that both has access to these markets and has the relevant products,' states Hermann Klein, managing director of Alltec.
