Alphanov, the optics and laser technology centre of the Bordeaux region's Route des Lasers cluster, will help NKT Photonics' customers to integrate Photonic Crystal Fibres (PCFs) by supplying various fibre interfacing solutions.
Through this partnership, Alphanov will share its expertise with NKT Photonics’ customers. Alphanov will help with the supply of PCFs connectors, sealed and cleaved PCF, end-capped PCFs and PCFs with mode-adaptors. One of Alphanov’s missions is to help companies develop optics and laser products and introduce PCFs.
Pascal Dupriez is head of the Alphanov laser department. He said: ‘Through our unique expertise in fibre lasers and fibre components, we have developed specific know-how to ease integration of PCFs for demanding industrial and scientific users.’
According to Alphanov, this collaboration will set ‘new standards’ in fibre laser design and fibre-based light sources, as both partners will ‘continue to commit to excellence,’ whether it is for special needs in research projects or for industrial components.
