Rofin-Baasel Lasertech has appointed Andreas Ewald as managing director of the Swiss Rofin subsidiary Lasag. Lasag is one of the leading laser manufacturers in micro material processing.
Ewald has held various positions on an international basis in the laser industry. He is an electrical engineer and holds an MBA in industrial engineering.
'With Mr. Ewald we are getting new competence on board for our Swiss daughter company and we are very positive about the future tasks for our mutual success,' commented Thomas Merk, COO Rofin Micro and Marking.
Ewald commented: 'My primary objective is to conclude the integration of Lasag into the Rofin group successfully. These synergies allow us to work out new benefits for our customers.'
