Edmund Optics has appointed Volker Schmidt to its global sales team. His extensive knowledge and experience will be an asset to the direct sales team of Edmund Optics Europe. Volker Schmidt will represent EO at its customers in selected parts of Europe and be responsible for many of their key accounts.
Prior to his employment at Edmund Optics, Volker Schmidt worked for Schott and Ohara Deutschland, where he held various managerial positions in sales and key account management.
‘Volker's extensive optics background, his established network in the optics community, and his experiences will be a great addition to the European sales team. Not only will his experience give us more power in selling our catalogue products, but it will also help us emphasise our manufacturing capabilities and customised product offerings, which are important pillars of our business,’ commented Martin Weinacht, sales director, key accounts Europe.
