Evatec has acquired the Advanced Technologies Segment of Oerlikon to expand its existing thin film deposition systems business. The transaction is expected to close during the first quarter of 2015.
Evatec continues its rapid growth with an agreement for the acquisition of the Semiconductor and Nanotechnology business of Oerlikon's Advanced Technologies Segment. Both capital equipment businesses are well positioned in their respective markets by delivering complete thin film production solutions and services to their customers around the globe.
The acquisition brings an enhanced technology portfolio and opens up possibilities to exploit synergies in technology and process knowhow for access to new markets and overall business growth going forward.
