Exotic Electro-Optics and LightWorks Optics have announced that they have merged and are now operating under the name LightWorks Optical Systems.
LightWorks Optical Systems combines the design, engineering and production capabilities of both former companies. A supplier of infrared optics, coatings and assemblies, Exotic Electro-Optics’ manufacturing technologies include crystal growth, optical fabrication, thin film coating production and complex assemblies. LightWorks Optics provides optical systems and assemblies, with expertise in engineering design, manufacture, assembly and the testing of complete optical solutions.
‘We are excited about the future of our company and look forward to an even stronger leadership position in the markets we serve,’ said Andrew Riser. He is general manager at LightWorks Optical Systems. ‘Combining our operational and technical talents has accelerated our ability to expand into new markets.’
Staff at Exotic Electro-Optics and LightWorks Optics will continue to operate from their Murrieta and Tustin, California facilities.
