The Centre of Excellence in Metrology for Micro and Nano Technologies (CEMMNT) has expanded its measurement, characterisation and design capabilities for industry.
The organisation provides a fast turnaround service to recertify standard samples, calibrate metrology instrumentation and measure components. It provides this service through its many UKAS accredited partners, including the National Physical Laboratory and Ametek Taylor Hobson.
New standard samples will now be available to verify the performance of stylus, optical instruments, scanning probes, and coordinate measuring machines. In addition, the organisation is now able to assess components such as 1D and 2D grid plates, linescales and graticules.
