The 10th annual euroLED event has secured high-profile industry figures from across Europe and the US to headline its two-day technical conference.
Organised by Birmingham Science Park Aston, the euroLED exhibition, gala dinner and conference will attract 3,000 visitors to the ICC in Birmingham on 24 and 25 June.
Dedicated to the science and technology of LEDs, the majority of speakers at this year’s conference are from the Netherlands, Germany and Italy, reflecting the global reputation for lighting innovation that these three continental European countries have earned.
Tom van de Buschee from Bridgelux, Paul Fleming from Mean Well, Jared Davidson from Nichia, Mark van den Berg from Philips Lumileds and Patrick van de Meulen from Xicato make up the Netherlands speaker contingent. Dr Denan Konjhodzic from Instrument Systems and Jeroen Ledema from TE Connectivity will be flying in from Germany to address the conference delegates. Guido Campadelli, from Fraen, is the Italy-based speaker.
Complementing the European stalwarts, euroLED will also welcome two headline speakers from the burgeoning US LED lighting market; Bob Kottritsch from Lynk Labs and Mike Grather from Underwriters Laboratories (UL). UL is also the euroLED 2013 conference sponsor.
Michelle Cleaver, Birmingham Science Park Aston’s events manager and head of euroLED, said: 'This is one of the largest LED lighting events in Europe, so for the 10th year we were determined to secure the best speakers from across the globe. It will be a great privilege especially to listen to the insight and industry observations from Bob Kottritsch from Lynk Labs and Mike Grather from Underwriters Laboratories, who will be flying across the Atlantic to speak at euroLED.'
