G-S Plastic Optics (GSPO) has installed a Class 10,000 clean room at its Rochester, NY corporate facility. GSPO is dedicated to continually improving its core competencies of supplying high precision polymer optics. The installation of the clean room is one more step in enabling the company to meet a number of heightened programme demands.
'We are experiencing growth in the optical markets requiring assemblies that combine our ability to mould, machine, and coat plastic optics with the ability to assemble multi-element optical assemblies in a controlled environment,' stated Chris Smock, director of operations at GSPO. 'Introducing a pure assembly environment on-site will not only ensure operational efficiency and delivery times for our customers, but also the high quality production standards that they have come to expect from us.'
GSPO's new clean room will keep the company up to date with the stringent quality regulations required for optical assembly in many applications, including commercial, military, and medical.
