IDEX Optics and Photonics (IOP) has appointed Dr Turan Erdogan as vice president of marketing and business development. Erdogan will oversee all of the customer and product marketing activities for the platform.
Prior to assuming his new role, Erdogan was the chief technology officer for IOP and was responsible for the optics technology and long-range product development for all of the IDEX Optics and Photonics businesses. Erdogan will continue his involvement in product development and also focus on strategic growth initiatives for all of the current companies within IOP. Erdogan was co-founder and CTO of Semrock in 2000, which was acquired by IDEX in 2008 as the first optics company for the corporation.
The IOP group of companies includes ATFilms, CVI Laser Optics, Melles Griot, Precision Photonics and Semrock.
