Jenoptik's Optoelectronic Systems division has signed a development and cooperation agreement with German solid-state lighting developer Leids, which is a subsidiary of Alder Optomechanical - a Taiwanese LED manufacturer. The five-year agreement will see the two firms cooperating to develop LED lighting for industrial applications.
According to Jenoptik, the cooperation will leverage the expertise of Leids in the field of LED production and system design, as well as its access to industrial markets, while Jenoptik's Optoelectronic Systems will provide expertise in the development and production of high-performance optics.
The two companies aim to produce highly efficient LED illumination systems for applications such as warehouse or workplace lighting.
