The Laser Technology division of Jenoptik Laser, Optik, Systeme and Jenoptik Laserdiode have merged to form Jenoptik Laser. The Optics, Microoptics and Digital Imaging business units of the former now operate under the name Jenoptik Optical Systems.
All staff and existing contracts from both the Laser Technology and Laserdiode business units have now transferred to Jenoptik Laser, with no effect on customers or suppliers. The new company will cover the entire value chain in the field of OEM laser sources - from epitaxial layer structuring of wafers, over semiconductor material and diode lasers, up to solid-state and fibre lasers.
The other newly-named company, Jenoptik Optical Systems, will be dedicated to developing, manufacturing and selling systems and components for optical and opto-electronic applications.
