Industrial laser manufacturer JK Lasers has appointed Paul Ferris as its worldwide sales director to coordinate its global sales strategy.
Prior to joining JK Lasers, Paul supported a production and sales division in Suzhou, China, as vice president of SPX Rail Systems. He also ran two operations in Hong Kong as senior project manager for Alstom Transport. His appointment follows JK Laser’s announcement that a new range of powerful multi-kiloWatt class fibre lasers will be added to its product range later this year.
Ferris said: ‘As the business expands, I will also put plans in place to protect and enhance JK Lasers’ personal approach to customer care. I firmly believe that corporate growth should not be at the expense of strong local ties.’
Ferris has also worked in Europe, North America and Australia. JK Lasers, part of the GSI Group, manufactures Watt to kiloWatt fibre lasers including Nd:YAG lasers and process tools that operate in industrial environments.
