Kopin Corporation, a manufacturer of critical components for body-worn mobile wireless computing systems, has announced the partnership with Edmund Optics to distribute the Ruby Module, an SVGA (600 x 800) microdisplay module offered in full colour and monochrome versions.
The Ruby Module incorporates an LCD display, backlight and control electronics in a fully integrated package for ease of customer integration.
'The partnership with Edmund Optics extends the global reach of our solutions,' said John Fan, Kopin's CEO. 'The Ruby Module is in keeping with our strategy of offering critical components and reference systems enabling our customers to develop proprietary mobile products. The Ruby Module includes two of the six key technologies we are focusing on, our proprietary low power displays and electronics.'
The Kopin Ruby SVGA Microdisplay Module and evaluation kit are in-stock and available for immediate delivery through Edmund Optics' 2013 catalog and website.
