German laser optics and coatings specialist Laseroptik is to build a new facility with more than 3,500 square metres of floor space with several clean rooms.
The new facility will be built on Laseroptik’s premises adjacent to the existing building, named Laserhof. The new building will house additional coating machines, which are both standard industrial products and in-house bespoke engineering projects.
The company has stated that ion beam sputtering and coatings for large laser optics are drivers for growth that have led to a 70 per cent increase in sales during the last three years.
