Photonics specialist M-u-t is adding to its product range with RGB Lasersysteme spectrometers after integrating the companies tec5 and Avantes into its group.
This expansion by M-u-t means RGB's microspectrometers will be produced by Avantes and marketed globally by Avantes' international distribution network. In addition to these new products, RGB will be providing the group with expertise in the field of light and laser sources. Together with the microspectrometers, the technologies offer the basis for future portable and mobile devices.
With the three additional companies M-u-t has expanded its staff to 250 employees across its business segments of spectroscopy, laboratory automation and early fire detection. Founded in 1995 and based in Wedel near Hamburg, Germany, M-u-t core competence lies in the combination of optics, electronics and complementary technologies for customised solutions.
