MicroEmissive Displays has appointed Alaistair Whyte to the position of operations manager, based at the company’s manufacturing centre in Dresden. His appointment brings the total number of employees in Dresden to 34.
'Our operations in Dresden have grown steadily over the past 12 months in line with our growing order book and the recent ISO 9001 registration of the site brings to a close an extremely busy year,' said Bill Miller, CEO.
Whyte joined MED in August 2007 as device engineering manager. Prior to this he spent 23 years in a variety of engineering positions at Motorola then Freescale, where he gained substantial volume manufacturing experience.
Whyte holds a Professional Certificate in Management and a BSc in Science from the Open University.
