Short pulsed fibre laser provider Mobius Photonics has appointed Manuel Martinez as vice president of engineering.
Martinez started with Mobius Photonics in 2009 and most recently served as the company’s engineering manager. His accomplishments at Mobius include spearheading new product introductions and establishing the company’s quality control programme, including the root cause and corrective action procedures.
‘We are pleased to announce Mr Martinez’s promotion to VP of engineering,’ said Manuel Leonardo, Mobius Photonics’ chief technology officer. ‘Mr Martinez has brought a new level of engineering discipline and structure to Mobius. His strengths in implementing stringent processes for product introductions and quality control, among others, have improved our products and our organisation. He is a great asset to the company.’
Prior to joining Mobius, Martinez was a staff engineer for KLA-Tencor. His previous positions include staff mechanical engineer for Lockheed Martin Space Systems and senior mechanical engineer for Lightwave Electronics. Martinez has a degree in mechanical engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
