Molex Incorporated has completed its acquisition of Polymicro Technologies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Polymicro Technologies manufactures silica capillary tubing and specialty optical fibres, capillary assemblies, discrete micro components and quartz optical fibre ferrules. According to Michael Nauman, president of the Global Integrated Products Division, Molex, this is a strategic acquisition that will help Molex boost its share of the global fibre optic assemblies market.
He said: ‘With Molex’s global resources we are confident that together we will grow even faster in key markets in the global fibre optics industry.’
