Linos, a member of the Qioptiq Group, has entered into an agency agreement with Optical Coatings Japan (OCJ), by which the latter will represent the photonics company and its range of products and optical solutions in Japan.
Following an intensive market research campaign to evaluate the market potential of the country, Qioptiq, through Linos, decided to expand its presence in the region and benefit from the many opportunities it presents. In full cooperation with OCJ, Linos has established a trusted partnership culminating in the signing of a formal agency agreement, in which OCJ will act as agent for Linos in Japan.
'Asia in general, and especially Japan, is one of the biggest markets for photonic products. In order to achieve success here we need a well established and trusted Japanese partner,' commented Volker Brockmeyer, chief executive of Linos. 'We have identified key market segments where we see considerable potential for Linos. I am confident that we will successfully expand our business in Japan with joint efforts and close cooperation with OCJ,' he concluded.
