Onefive has signed an agreement for the acquisition of Advanced Laser Diode Systems (ALS) in a cash transaction.
Founded in 2002, ALS is a manufacturer of picosecond gain switched laser diode systems and ultra-broadband high speed photo detectors, serving a wide range of industries. Additionally, the company brings experience within diode-pumped solid-state laser technology, including a license to manufacture thin-disk based laser systems.
ALS will continue to operate as a standalone company at its headquarters in Berlin Adlershof and will market its products globally to a large customer base through its well established sales channels. 'This is a very important acquisition for Onefive, not only because we are adding new complementary products and customers to our existing portfolio, but also as we are further expanding our technology base,' said Lukas Krainer, CEO of Onefive.
