Ophir Photonics has opened a new office in Darmstadt, Germany.
The Ophir Spiricon Europe office in Darmstadt is dedicated to sales, service, recalibration, and repair of all Ophir power and energy meters and Spiricon photon beam analysers. Christian Dini is the general manager. Dini has over 25 years experience in the laser industry, including R&D, sales, and executive management. He served as business development director at Synrad, a manufacturer of industrial CO2 lasers. While there Dini restructured distribution across Europe. Prior to that, Dini held the positions of vice president sales and marketing at contract manufacturer Alphaform; sales vice president at Synrad’s Europe office; and was a product manager at Optilas.
‘The laser and photonics business has changed dramatically over the last 25 years. I’m very happy to be joining one of the most respected technology groups in the industry, Ophir Photonics and its parent company, Newport Corporation,’ said Dini.
Ophir Photonics sales and marketing director Yoram Shalev said, ‘Pan-European demand is increasing across a wide array of scientific, medical, and industrial applications. This means the opportunities are tremendous for laser measurement equipment. Ophir is dedicated to delivering both the innovative technology and the service that will meet these needs.’
