Ophir-Spiricon has been presented with an outstanding technology business of the year award by Cache Chamber of Commerce, at the Chamber's 2012 annual awards banquet at Utah State University.
Ophir-Spiricon was given the award because the Chamber of Commerce decided the company exemplified the type of business the chamber wanted to see locate in Cache Valley Utah, and stay and grow. The award was presented to Gary Wagner, president of Ophir-Spiricon, at the Chamber's 2012 annual awards banquet at Utah State University.

Ophir-Spiricon develops technology for the use of lasers in eye surgery, industrial welding and military guidance systems. Spiricon was founded in 1978 by Dr Carlos Roundy, who received his degree in Physics from Utah State University. Spiricon is now Ophir-Spiricon, a multi-national company.
