Dr Reinhard Sperger has been appointed chief quality officer (CQO) for the continuous improvement of the products, processes, and services at all sites of Optics Balzers.
Gilbert Zünd has also joined the company as chief operating officer (COO) at its headquarters in Balzers. He will control production and purchasing activities there.
Dr Reinhard Sperger possesses more than 20 years of experience in the development, application, and production of optical thin film coatings. He joined the company in 1990 and has since held various management functions, last as head of the engineering team.
As chief operating officer (COO), one focus of Gilbert Zünd's activities will be on further implementation of process-oriented manufacturing. Gilbert Zünd has accumulated vast experience in the field of production management and process optimisation. His last function was that of operations manager with Metallwalzwerk in Menziken.
