The Optical Society of America (OSA) has announced a new partnership with Messe Berlin in which the OSA Congress on Research in Optical Science will be co-located with the Laser Optics Berlin event in 2012. The OSA Congress, which will replace the Laser Optics Congress traditionally held at Laser Optics Berlin, will feature programming on the physics and applications of high field sources, the new and rapidly developing field of structure research in the ultrafast domain, and developments in quantum information and computing. The OSA Congress and Laser Optics Berlin will take place on 19-21 March 2012 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.
'OSA is pleased to form this partnership with Messe Berlin and provide a more comprehensive programme for attendees,' said OSA president Christopher Dainty. 'OSA Congresses bring together top researchers in specialised optics fields to discuss and share the latest research on a variety of topics. Coupling the programme with Laser Optics Berlin, which takes place in a core region of the European optics industry, will only enhance that experience.'
