CVI Laser Optics, a unit of IDEX Optics and Photonics, has appointed Edgar Pigott as value stream manager for coatings in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Within this role, Pigott’s primary responsibility will be to improve flow and first-pass yield in coating and clean room areas.
Pigott comes to CVI Laser Optics with more than 20 years of experience in lean manufacturing and earned his bachelors of science in economics from United States Military Academy at West Point. Most recently, Pigott held the position of director of operations at Schott Electronic Packaging.
'I have been honing my lean management skills for many years,' said Pigott. 'I look forward to working alongside the CVI Laser Optics team and the opportunity to push their operational excellence to a new level for long-term success.'
