Laser diodes and LED light engines designer and manufacturer Prophotonix has appointed Howard Longin as sales director for the Americas.
Previously sales and marketing vice president for frequency control device maker, China based-Hosonic Electronics, Longin has 20 years' experience in the electronic components industry. At Hosonic, Longin developed a global distributor network that helped grow the company's business in North America. He said: ‘I firmly believe [Prophotonix is] poised to make a major impact in our markets.’
Longin will work alongside Prophotonix’s Europe, Middle East, Africa sales director David McGuinness. Prophotonix chief executive officer Mark Blodgett said: ‘I am delighted that a person of Howard's experience and proven success is joining us in this critical position.’
