Laser diode modules manufacturer ProPhotonix has established a sales team for the USA and Europe.
In late 2011 ProPhotonix embarked on a strategy to exploit the market opportunities emerging in North America and Europe. Central to this was the recruitment of a global sales force resulting in a team of six in North America and eight in Europe, serving a wide range of existing and prospective customers in the industrial machine vision, medical, security and defence markets. The company has now completed hiring employees for these sales teams.
Mark Blodgett, chairman and chief executive officer, commented: ‘For the first time we have a group of experienced sales individuals supported by internal sales teams in three locations and a strong applications engineering team that will enable us to grow our business more quickly in the US, Europe, Israel and Asia.’
The new sales teams include members of staff with six languages, a doctorate in physical chemistry, business development experience in many different markets and a combined experience of hundreds of years.
