Former White House director of public liaison Linda Chavez has joined the board of coatings, optics and opto-mechanical assemblies maker Reo.
Currently a director of facilities services company ABM Industries, working as chair of its compensation committee, Chavez was director of public liaison during Ronald Reagan’s presidency, and since then has been the staff director of the US Commission on Civil Rights, chairman of the National Commission on Migrant Education, and was the US expert to the United Nations’ Human Rights Sub-Commission.
‘Linda brings an extraordinary range of skills, knowledge and contacts to our board,’ states REO chief executive officer Paul Kelly. ‘These will be particularly valuable to us as we endeavour to extend Reo’s growth by expanding into new markets and geographical territories.’
Chavez also sits on the boards of several non-profit organisations, including the Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy.
