Industrial laser systems manufacturer Rofin-Baasel UK has announced that its turnover for the year ending September 2012 for the UK and Ireland was up 12 per cent on the same period 12 months ago.
The company has declared a pre-tax profit of almost £500,000 on a group turnover of over £11 million for that period ending September 2012. According to Rofin-Baasel, those results make 2012 its most profitable year ever, as well as the highest turnover and greatest number of lasers installed.
Commenting on the company’s results, Rofin-Baasel UK managing director Andrew May said: ‘Rofin’s lasers and components are made at specialist manufacturing sites all over the world, including the UK and Germany. Thirty five years of laser research and development has resulted in an accumulated experience and know-how.’
Rofin-Baasel has more than 42,000 laser units installed worldwide and serves more than 4,000 customers. The company’s shares trade on the NASDAQ global select market under the symbol RSTI.
