Blackbird Robotersysteme's location, business structure and management remain unchanged. Both companies have been working together since 2009 and offer 3D scanning solutions for remote laser welding.
Puchheim-based Scanlab is a manufacturer of scan systems for laser material processing and medical technology. Blackbird Robotersysteme is a producer of control solutions for robotic laser-welding equipment.
The merger will enable an expansion of the companies portfolio of laser fabrication products for automakers and industrial producers.
