Sensofar-Tech, the manufacturer of non-contact surface metrology systems, has appointed Gerald Nitsch as VP of sales and marketing, while Natxo Millan joins as software manager.
Nitsch brings more than 15 years of experience in the photonics industry to Sensofar. Through his previous positions as co-founder and CEO of Mikropack (Germany) and in leading the management team during the establishment of Ocean Optics EMEA (Netherlands and Germany), Nitsch has already been supporting Sensofar as an external consultant since 2006, and his new position highlights a strenghthening of his involvement during Sensofar’s current strong growth.
Millan's role will be to develop and to optimise the organisational structure, in particular with regard to the rapid expansion the company, the increasing number of products and the growing complexity of the associated software. Natxo has a degree in computer science engineering and an International MBA. He gained extensive experience as a software developer and project/team manager in a number of internationally-oriented companies. Naxto takes over from Cristina Cadevall, who now takes on greater responsibility within the R&D group.
