Andreas Conzelmann has been appointed general manager at Trumpf Laser Marking Systems in Grüsch, Switzerland.
Conzelmann succeeds Dr Eckhard Meiners who, on 1 October, assumed the position of chief executive officer of the medical technology company Trumpf Medical Systems. Conzelmann has been affiliated with Trumpf Laser Marking Systems since 2002. He began as a development engineer and in 2007 took over management of the customer service section. Beginning in 2010 he headed up the sales and services department.
Conzelmann was born and raised in the town of Truchtelfingen on the Swabian Alb, an hour south of Stuttgart. Following his apprenticeship as an industrial fitter, he studied mechatronics and precision technology at the Technical University in Esslingen am Neckar. He started his career with a manufacturer of instrumentation and communications equipment.
