Pyser-SGI has added to its range of Ronchi rulings with the introduction of a 200 liner per mm version.
This 200 line-pairs per mm all glass slide can be used with microscope or camera systems to check for resolution and distortion.
The Pyser-SGI range of transmission gratings are produced in various sizes as a vacuum deposited chrome image on glass, or as a photographic image on film, to give very precise line patterns, and are available with a variety of pitches to suit the measurement precision required.
The use of two different pitch gratings superimposed and aligned will produce a Moiré fringe pattern. Changes to this pattern provide a means of measuring stress or distortion. Typical applications include distortion analysis, weld stress analysis, focal stability, surface flatness and optical conformance.
