BFi OPTiLAS has released a family of optical wavelength meters designed specifically for dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) applications.
The 228 Series Optical Wavelength Meter can be used for wavelength characterisation of tunable DWDM lasers, DFB lasers, and VCSELs. It combines high accuracy and repeatability to achieve meaningful wavelength analysis.
Two versions of the 228 Series Optical Wavelength Meter are available. The model 228A measures wavelength to an accuracy of about ± 0.3pm over the range of 700 to 1,650nm.
For less exacting test requirements, the model 228B is a lower-price alternative with an accuracy of about ± 1.0pm. The accuracy of the 228 system is maintained over long periods of time by calibrating continuously with a built-in wavelength standard. And, its measurement repeatability supports a confidence level of 3-sigma (> 99.6 per cent). Features such as short measurement time, straightforward operation, and rugged design satisfy the needs of both the R&D scientist and the manufacturing engineer.
