A Pan-European distribution agreement between Acal BFi and Quantum Light has been signed. This agreement enables Acal BFi to bring to the market a range of compact air cooled DPSS Q-Switched lasers, operating at low repetition rate and high energy. This is the first affordable Diode Pumped laser with this level of energy per pulse. Current models are available at 1053nm, 1064nm and all the harmonics up to the 5th (211nm). Models can have either TEM00 or top-hat beam profile with energy of up to 40mJ, < 7ns pulse duration and peak power of ~ 6 MWatts.
Compact, air cooled, low consumption, and cost effective, it is an ideal tool for a wide range of applications including Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS), Pulsed Light Deposition (PLD), Time Of Flight Spectroscopy (TOFS), Fluorescence Spectroscopy, Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization (MALDI), remote sensing, laser ablation and 'mask marking'.
