Newport, a provider of laser and photonic solutions, has introduced what it describes as the next level of affordable high-precision adjustment.
The company says the AJS series 254-TPI (threads per inch) adjustment screw provides a 60 per cent improvement in sensitivity over standard 100-TPI adjustment screws, with faster alignment and improved stability.
The screws allow 0.5 inches. (12.7 mm) of travel, are non-locking, and are available with a knob or with a 5/64-in (2-mm) hex key.
