Fibercore Limited has released its proprietary, field proven, all-silica erbium-ytterbium co-doped, dual-clad fibre.
Combining two of the company’s patented technologies, CP1500Y is the first, licensed erbium-ytterbium, dual-clad (cladding-pump) fibre, on the market and also the first to offer both a shaped, multi-lobed pump-guide and all-silica construction.
CP1500Y has been used in Cisco's own range of high-power amplifiers since 1999 within thousands of units deployed in CATV and local access networks.
