Newport's Spectra-Physics Lasers Division has expanded its portfolio of Excelsior and Cyan DPSS lasers, which are ideal for bioinstrumentation fluorescence applications. The new Excelsior lasers include continuous wave (CW) 50mW at 515nm and 50mW at 594nm. In addition, the Excelsior and Cyan 488nm lasers at 10 to 40 mW are now available with power-adjustability. Many Excelsior OEM lasers are also offered as fibre-coupled versions, including the 375, 405, 440, 473, 532, 561, 642, 785, and 1064nm models for added flexibility. The extended Excelsior laser family now includes 13 discrete wavelengths and more than 100 different models for confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, and other bioinstrumentation applications.
The products are ideal for various bioinstrumentation fluorescence applications, as the superior beam quality and low optical noise result in excellent fluorescence signal-to-noise ratios.
