Gooch & Housego has launched its Fibre Coupled AOM designed for use in pulsed fibre laser amplifier systems, for use within applications such as material processing.
The device offers high reliability within a rugged and compact hermetically sealed package. The device is optimised to achieve low insertion loss with high extinction ratio and optical power handling. This has been achieved through the development of a new manufacturing platform combining the group's capabilities in both acousto-optics and fibre packaging.
