Finesse is a highly-acclaimed range of DPSS pump lasers from Laser Quantum, specifically designed for the femtosecond Ti:S market. Already available at 4W and 6W, the Finesse is now available in a 5W version in response to OEM demand. The laser is based on a proprietary DEP cavity design achieving the following specifications: power >5.5W, M-squared <1.1 (diffraction limited), power stability <1.0 per cent rms and noise (1Hz-6MHz) <0.5 per cent rms. The package includes the dedicated fpu35 power supply, which houses the diode. Features include automatic power control, RS232 interfacing and a physical shutter. In nominal lab conditions, there is no need for external cooling.
