GL Optic, a German manufacturer of light measuring equipment, has introduced a new line of goniometer systems for LED light testing. The Gl Gonio Spectrometer is equipped with a spectral device capable of measuring light intensity and checking colour quantities simultaneously.
The basic version will generate LID (light intensity distribution) and colour reports and export LTD and IES files. This will allow LED light manufacturers to test their products and obtain photometric files without having to send their products to external laboratories, which can be expensive and time consuming.
Optional peripheral devices are available to upgrade this system with stabilised power supplies and power meters to calculate luminous efficacy. Additional devices can be included to measure temperature and stabilise LED modules during tests.
