The GL Spectis 1.0 Touch FL spectrometer from GL Optic can measure changes in luminous flux (flicker) over a signal range of 0.1Hz to 12.5kHz for most light sources.
In order to characterise light sources comprehensively and compare them with one another, flicker parameters have been established and are controlled by the GL Spectis 1.0 Touch FL. Among these are the flicker frequency, the flicker index and the flicker factor, which is expressed as a percentage.
In addition to these parameters and having a photo diode which allows continued measurement of photometric and colorimetric data, the GL Spectis 1.0 Touch FL has a touch screen and a compact structure making it ideal for on-the-go use.
The GL Spectis 1.0 Touch FL can be used during the production and quality assurance assessment of LED light fixtures, or during lighting design processes. To check the dominating frequencies which cause flicker, up to five dominant frequency shares can be determined with the GL Spectis 1.0 Touch FL using the fast fourier transformation (FFT) measurement.
