Laser Quantum has announced that, following another successful financial year, plans are underway to expand its facilities in both the UK and the USA. According to the company, its sales growth has led to a requirement for further production capacity and an increase in staff numbers.
At the UK headquarters, Laser Quantum has acquired an additional building, increasing the number of buildings on this site to four, and in the USA, the LQI team has expanded into a new building three times larger than the existing site to accommodate the recent increases in staff numbers.
‘The expansion at our headquarters in Stockport is a positive step, driving up our manufacturing capacity to meet our customers’ demand, and also helping us to deliver our ambitious R+D programmes,' commented Dr Lawrie Gloster, CEO of Laser Quantum.
Barney Mitchell, vice-president of Laser Quantum (USA), added: ‘As our presence in the US market continues its rapid growth, we continue our drive to provide an unsurpassed level of support to our American customers. Our new premises in Silicon Valley include a complete service facility, mirroring the capabilities of our UK service hub.
