Elliot Scientific is now shipping automated alignment packages comprising their latest in piezo controlled Elliot Martock Gold Series flexure stages.
The new systems offer either 25 or 100µm of advanced automated piezo-driven movement in two axes, and up to two millimetres of manual adjustment in three axes. Uses include fibre launch systems for single-mode, multimode and polarisation maintaining fibres, waveguide and photonic device alignment, and some manipulation applications in the biosciences.
A typical system, such as the 10nm resolution Elliot Scientific E2323, consists of an Elliot|Martock MDE123 Gold Series XYZ flexure stage with 25µm piezo actuators, an Elliot Scientific 3-channel E1100 piezo controller, and an Elliot Scientific E2300 USB-equipped DALi 3 interface for automated alignment. A PC or laptop for driving the easy to use software is also required and can be customer supplied or purchased from us at additional cost.
Elliot Scientific's latest generation DALi 3 incorporates the best in electronic design and uses clever software algorithms to quickly deliver precision automated alignment. It does this by locating and optimising an optical feedback signal typically derived from the components being aligned. It then adjusts their relative position to optimise the signal and therefore their accurate alignment.
